A failure or success?

Demoex is the only elected direct democratic party in Sweden. When we entered the City Council in Vallentuna in 2002 it was an unwanted contribution to the established parties.

My dear father-in-law is a conservative politician of the old school. This means that he considers himself entitled to everything and those who think otherwise need to be convinced. We do not have much of the same view, but even if we have not always been meek in our relation we do respect each other. Father-in-law did not think Demoex would have a chance to take a seat. When we did it anyway so he changed the analysis:

– It’s no big thing to scrape together a few hundred votes in the municipal election, but now the hard part begins. You will not get it easily, he said. At this point he was completely right.
